Getting Married in Santorini?

We usually advise our couples to book their wedding one hour before sunset, so they can enjoy a beautiful sunset photo shoot after the ceremony. Sometimes this depends on the availability of the venue and the available time slots of the registrar. We also recommend not holding the ceremony in the middle of the day, as the weather in Santorini during June, July and August can be very hot.

Yes. The marriage certificate is a legal document issued by the Greek Government and is accepted internationally. You will use the certificate to register your marriage back home once you have received it.

After the ceremony we arrange a meeting at the Town Hall so we can proceed with the final signatures. Getting your marriage certificate with the apostille stamp usually takes 3–4 weeks. As soon as we receive it back from the Town Hall we send it to you by post.

Yes, of course. We meet in person when you arrive on the island, for the last questions and answers you might have about your special day.

You can pay the deposit for the official booking via PayPal, credit card (Visa or Mastercard), or bank transfer.

You can send us copies of the wedding documents by email, and bring the originals in person when you come to the island.

We will be more than happy to provide two witnesses for you at no extra cost, so please don't worry about it.

For a vow renewal no documents are needed, so the process is easier: we just need a copy of your passports. The ceremony is the same as a civil ceremony, but you will not receive an official marriage certificate.

We recommend being on the island at least two days before the wedding, as we like to hold a pre-wedding meeting to discuss all the details. For a civil wedding in Santorini it is also necessary for the couple to be here one working day after the wedding, so we can arrange the final signature at the Town Hall.

We only provide this service for couples arriving on the island via cruise ship. Otherwise we recommend being on the island two days prior to the wedding date.
